Vision

Our vision is a world where visually impaired individuals have equal access to and participation in live events, fostering a sense of inclusion, connection, and empowerment within their communities. We aim to expand our reach nationwide, ensuring that no one is limited by their sight when it comes to enjoying cultural and sporting activities.

Values

Client-Focused

We prioritise the needs and experiences of visually impaired individuals, shaping our services to best support their preferences and aspirations.

Inclusivity

We advocate for equal access and participation for all, fostering a community where differences are celebrated and accommodated.

Volunteering

We value the generosity and dedication of our volunteers, recognizing their pivotal role in enriching the lives of visually impaired individuals and strengthening societal bonds.

Empowerment

We empower visually impaired individuals to overcome barriers and pursue meaningful experiences, fostering independence, confidence, and self-determination.

Impact

We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and society at large, promoting social cohesion, well-being, and awareness of disability issues.

What We Do

We respond to requests from our visually impaired clients to attend live sporting and cultural events by arranging for them to be accompanied to, from, and during the event by a sighted companion. The companion provides the guidance and support needed to safely and effectively overcome the many barriers to blind and partially sighted accessibility.

Step 1: Get In Touch

Get in touch using the Contact Us page, and let us know how we can assist! For anyone requiring assistance with attending live events, a brief outline of your specific needs and preferences will allow us to provide you with the best support possible.

Step 2: Initial Assessment

Once you’ve made contact, we’ll conduct an initial assessment to understand your specific needs, preferences, and any accommodations required for the event you wish to attend, discussing available event options while considering the individual’s interests, accessibility requirements, and location.

Step 3: Volunteer Outreach

When we’ve established the type of events you’d like to attend, we’ll reach out to our network of volunteers and find someone who can accompany you to your chosen event.

Step 4: Event Logistics

We will make arrangements between you and our volunteer. This involves discussing travel logistics, tickets and any other details relevant to your event.

Step 5: Game Day!

You attend your event accompanied by one of our volunteers, and we will follow up with you afterwards to ensure everything went as planned.

Where Are We

We are based in Essex, but our aim is to expand and ultimately offer a service nationwide.

Interested In Volunteering?

Get Involved

We look to recruit volunteers willing to give of their time to improve the lives of our visually impaired clients. The experience of going to live events together is life-affirming and rewarding for both visually impaired client and volunteer.

Our volunteers give as much or as little of their time as they choose, and we endeavour to see that they are never out of pocket as a result of their volunteering. The rewards include being able to attend sports and cultural events with like-minded clients, whilst developing new skills and positively changing lives.
